Explorers 6Explorers 1Montezuma’s Explorer Club was founded as a way to enrich the lives of the children in and around Montezuma. Every Saturday local children meet to explore artistic and academic themes.

The Homework Club is designed to offer individualized tutoring sessions for children. We complete homework together and then practice literacy and numeracy skills. Volunteers can co-teach these classes and really make a difference for the kids in the area.

Previous volunteers have taught art, dance, music, yoga, and even gardening to local school children and adults. If you have a unique talent that you would like to contribute, please be sure to email us and we can add classes to our extra-curricular schedule. For travelers that would like to get even more involved, check out Proyecto TEFL’s internationally recognized TEFL certification course.
